Spiral Odyssey is a site showcasing artist Paula Barrientos’ work. The Chilean artist needed an online space to sell original and printed art internationally.
Art Detail.She wanted focus on the art and the story behind the inspiration of the art. Based on brower language settings the site would be in either Spanish or English.
Introducing the Artist.We wanted to let people get to know her and peak into her studio.
All About Paula.She is a creative at heart and we felt it was important to highlight her recent travels and move to Australia as it has inspired a lot of her work.
The Home Page.As the first release, we're using the shop page as the home page until the business is more established.
Main takeaways for the project.
ImpactWithin a week of launching the website Paula was able to sell two originial paintings. Feedback has been positive and we are actively working on site improvements and next steps for her business.
TakeawaysWorking closely with the owner and collaborating on the structure of the site was extremely rewarding. The site is bilingual and it was important that we build the site in a way that detects the language the user's browser is set to.The second big hurdle was recognizing what currency the user will be using. The site supports USD, the Chilean Peso and Australian dollars.
